How Speakers Work

Speakers convert electrical signals into sound waves through a process called transduction. The digital signal is fed into a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to obtain an analog signal. The transduction occurs when this analog signal (in the form of electrical energy) is converted into vibrations (in the form of mechanical energy). The vibrations are transmitted through the air as sound.
